What type of bank is Premier?
In July 2006, Premier opened its doors in downtown Los Angeles as a full-service, high-tech community business bank. In 2011, Premier expanded into the South Bay region of Los Angeles establishing a Loan Center in Torrance, and then opened another full service branch in the Palos Verdes Peninsula business district. Premier offers a variety of banking solutions to both individuals and small to mid-sized businesses.

To earn this TOP 5-Star rating, Premier excelled in the areas of capital adequacy, profitability, and asset quality just to name a few. And, in July 2012, MSN Money named Premier as one of the 359 safest banks in America, of which only sixteen of those banks were located in California. Who are your clients?
Premier has a diverse client base that includes individuals, doctors and other professionals, small to mid-size businesses, entrepreneurs, and real estate investors who are located throughout Los Angeles County. Our bankers deliver highly personalized service and innovative banking solutions to the clients by bringing the bank to them at their place of business. Although they’re always welcome to visit us at the branch. Our bankers have years of experience and the knowledge to structure various financing solutions for different types of businesses and real estate investments.
What types of loan products do you offer?
Premier serves a broad range of business clients and real estate investors. As such we offer two distinct lines of loan products. One product line is focused on the business owner who may need a revolving short term line of credit, or a term loan for equipment purchases, tenant improvements, or a business acquisition. The second product line is designed for investors who are interested in purchasing or re-financing commercial real estate, multi-family properties, and/or single family residences “1-4” units. We are always willing to look at special financing requests and unique lending situations. And, because we make all of our lending decisions locally we have the flexibility to customize a loan and fund it quickly.
How does Premier help clients with challenges they face today?
One of the most common challenges or frustrations we hear from people today is "what happened to the person I usually work with or talk to at my bank”. In recent years, many of the banks have been acquired, relocated, or reorganized along with the bankers. At Premier, our clients feel they can call upon their banker who knows them and can help with their banking needs anytime day or night. And, if their banker is unavailable or out of town, with our open door policy our clients can easily access anyone of us in the bank including the president. The greatest value we can offer our clients is a collaborative working relationship, like a partnership where you not only know their financial situation and goals, but also their character. We make our lending decisions based on many factors, but at Premier a client’s character and long-term relationship really count.

How does Premier give back to the community?
All of our bankers are involved in the community through participation in various civic and non-profit organizations. Our commitment to community is sincere and is demonstrated through leadership roles, volunteering and by contributing a portion of our profits to education, charitable organizations, the environment and the arts. A recent example of this philosophy was realized when Premier was the presenting sponsor of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce Installation Breakfast and Seminar. Not only was our President John Polen installed as a new board member, but one of our bankers was instrumental in securing renowned economist, Dr. James Cunningham, Economics Professor from the USC Marshall School of Business to speak to the local business people on the status of the California and U.S. economy.
